SLP Read$ is the PTSO’s primary fundraiser that directly supports many of the school’s programs. SLP Read$ encourages children to read books in exchange for donations to our school. The fundraiser begins next week and all proceeds go directly to Susan Lindgren so that we can remain a truly excellent place for learning.
Our goal is to raise $35,000. Where does the money go? Without SLP Read$, the following programs wouldn’t be possible:
- Family Fun Night, Imagination Inventor’s Fair, June Jamboree
- Field trips to places like the MIA, Minnesota Zoo and Westwood Nature Center
- Birthday Books, Student Directories, Yearbooks
There are three important things you should know as you consider your donation for this year:
- This is the one and only fundraiser that we conduct at Susan Lindgren. Our PTSO is proud of the fact that we never ask our students to sell anything. Please show your support by making a contribution and encouraging friends and family to do the same.
- Online donations may be made by visiting the PTSO website at http://susanlindgrenptso.org/
- An easy way to double your contribution is through employee giving programs. Many corporations match employee donations to our organization, which is a registered non-profit 501(c)(3).
The fundraiser starts on October 12 and runs through October 29. So, help us raise money for an excellent cause – your kids’ educational experience!
